Zenith – Elite 6150
Along with the El Primero Sport , at Baselworld 2015 Zenith presented the Elite 6150 model, a watch from the exemplary lines equipped with another Manufacture development, the Elite 6150 type.
This new programmed development is the updated adaptation of the well known super flimsy Elite type developed in the mid 1990s.
The fundamental objective for Zenith engineers was to make of the Elite 6150 type the premise of various future varieties by improving its presentation and its flexibility in three principle zones:
– the force hold, already adding up to 55 hours, has been increased to 100 hours by adding a second barrel;
– the diameter of the type has been enlarged to 30 mm to more readily coordinate the measures of contemporary watches and provide a base development that is more adaptable to accommodate an assortment of capacities later on;
– the seconds, in the past displayed in a subdial at 9 o’clock, are currently displayed by a focal direct-drive seconds hand for improved accuracy and dependability.
The new development, beating at 28,800 vibrations each hour, remains astoundingly slight at simply 3.92 mm.
The main watch to house the new type, the Elite 6150 model highlights a rock shaped case in hardened steel with a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 10 mm. The enormous size adds character to the work of art and rich lines. Water-impervious to a depth of 30 meters, the case outlines a cambered silver-toned dial punctuated by slender implement type hands.
On the back, the sapphire gem displays the system with its swaying weight adorned with a Côtes de Genève theme.
The Zenith Elite 6150 is completed by an elastic lined croc lash fitted with a triple-blade folding catch and has a retail cost of Euro 7,000/US$ 8,300. zenith-watches.com
