Officine Panerai – Radiomir 1940 3 Days Automatic Titanio
Officine Panerai just introduced the new Radiomir 1940 3 Days Automatic Titanio. With this model, the Radiomir 1940 is available without precedent for titanium with an automatic development which is equipped with a decentralized oscillating weight.
The classic cushion case has a diameter of 45 mm with the drags framed out of the square of the case, the distinctive element of the Radiomir 1940 line.
The case is made of two different kinds of titanium: the satin-brushed caseband is of evaluation 2 titanium, an ideal combination for its lightness (40% lighter than steel) and its resistance to corrosion. The bezel and crown, then again, are of evaluation 5 titanium, an amalgam which differs from the previous one in that it can be polished, consequently obtaining a sophisticated contrasting finish.
The shade of the titanium well harmonizes with the warm tone of the earthy colored dial, built using the classic sandwich structure where two plates are superimposed with luminous substance between them for extraordinary legibility.
Turning the watch, it is possible to admire the P.4000 caliber through the sapphire gem. This is the brand’s first automatic development with a decentralized oscillating weight, designed and fabricated in Panerai’s plant in Neuchâtel.
The decentralized rotor empowers the thickness of the development to be substantially diminished down to simply 3.95 mm. The weight is made of tungsten – a material with a particularly high specific weight – and it winds in the two directions, enabling it to quickly gather a force hold of three days, on account of the utilization of two spring barrels associated in series.
The P.4000 caliber additionally includes a device which stops the equilibrium when the winding crown is pulled out, making it easier to consummately synchronize the watch.
The Radiomir 1940 3 Days Automatic Titanio (PAM00619) is water-resistant to 10 bar and it is coordinated to an earthy colored bison cowhide lash. Its retail price is Euro 9,800/US$ 10,700. panerai.com
