Glashütte Original – Senator Observer 2015
This year, during the Baselworld 2015 show, the Saxon watchmaker Glashütte Original introduced another variant of its Senator Observer characterised by a matt dark dial intensely treated with green Super-LumiNova for amazing readability even in helpless light conditions.
The white gold hour and moment hands, intense Arabic numerals, and part ring hour records are totally featured with a luminous shade that retains light by day and discharges it around evening time. A similar treatment is utilized for the hand and lists of the little seconds subdial at 9 o’clock and the force hold marker at 3 o’clock.
The text style utilized for the hour numerals is taken from the accuracy pocket watches made in Glashütte toward the start of the twentieth century.
The dial is completed by the Panorama Date show at the focal point of the lower half.
The new Senatore Observer is fueled by the programmed Caliber 100-14, a 4Hz (28,800 vph) development with a 55 hour power hold. The development – with the trademark stripe completed Glashütte three-quarter plate and skeletonized rotor with 21-carat gold swaying weight – can be respected through the sapphire case back.
The new Senator Observer comes in a 44 mm cleaned and silk brushed treated steel case and it is accessible with a dark calfskin tie fitted with a tempered steel foldover fasten, or with a hardened steel interface wristband. Retail costs are Euro 9,900/US$ 11,800 with tie or Euro 11,100/US$ 13,300 with bracelet. glashuette-original.com
