Audemars Piguet – Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ref. 26574
Audemars Piguet introduced a redid version of its Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar model characterized by a bigger case, another dial and another development.
The case diameter of the new reference 26574 increases from 39 mm to 41 mm and will be available in stainless steel or in pink gold with two dial variations: naval force blue or silvered, both with the signature “Grande Tapisserie” motif.
As a result of the bigger size, the legibility of the calendar indications (day, date, month, jump year and moonphase) is improved. A third focal hand indicates the seven day stretch of the year displayed on the external section ring. This is another element for the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar model.
The development is oneself winding caliber 5134, a refreshed version of caliber 2120 which better fits the bigger case. Beating at 19,800 vibrations each hour and offering a force save of approximately 40 hours, the new development is 4.31 mm thick and is visible through the sapphire caseback.
The mainplate is circular-grained while all bridges are angled and embellished with Côtes de Genève.
The 22-carat gold monobloc oscillating weight is engraved with “Audemars Piguet”, and its outside portion is enhanced with a “tapisserie” motif echoing the iconic example of the royal oak dials.
The new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ref. 26574 will have a price of Euro 61,100/US$ 60,900 in stainless steel or Euro 95,900/US$ 95,700 in pink gold. audemarspiguet.com
